Kibembe Suspension Cable Foot Bridge spans 75m across river Sironko in Sironko District which was completed on 28th June 2018. Project cost (50% counterpart funding by the MoWT) was UGX 172 Million. The bridge is scheduled to be commissioned in the first week of October 2019. The bridge serves approximately 1,800 nearby residents. About 3 deaths and 15 injuries occurred resulting from crossing attempts in the last 3 years before the bridge was constructed.
